Introduced in the latter half of 2011, these small ships were designed as hound dogs from the outset. Generally working in groups of four, along with the newship Endurance class Destroyers (mid 2012), they help protect the big capitol ships from small attackers such as Al-Kesh, or in the case of Pegasus, the smaller Wraith cruisers. They can work alone as long range scout ships and with a small crew they can range far and wide as the eyes of the fleet. Despite their size, they do carry a single 401 in the upper hangar or two 302 fighters. They are fast and agile, well armed.
