<USS Apollo-Wardroom>Mike took another glance around the place, noting that people were feeling either restless or antsy to get the brief on the move and for them to all file out quickly from the wardroom and make good on what they were good at. His eyes then turned towards the screen and towards Jordan as she made a motion to start - with a standard review of their mission plan and brief for those who were either not listening or needed a refresher of the past could of events. Then he glanced over at their two alien guests under their protection and to some minute degree, command; or so Mike supposed.
Jordan did not mince her words, got right down to the idea that people would much rather see the Wraith die with the virus than be on their ship; Mike held his reservations as he turned back from looking at the two aliens than see their reactions. It would come to no surprise that they were the targets of an alien-borne virus which seemed to bear some good news for humans and whether or not it could be contagious to them was yet to be seen.
Mike had taken a sip of his coffee, it was standard NATO. Nothing special and he was drinking it for the energy, or so he liked to think. The effects of coffee barely did anything for him but it was more out of habit and presumed alertness that he kept drinking.
His face changed, more a thin line as he pressed his lips together at the news that there was one singular chromesome standing between it being an alien virus to a human and alien virus.
That was when he looked back at his team, to check in visually to see how they were processing the information that had been relayed to them. Mike could see that each one of them had been affected, some hiding it better than others whilst others it was plain to see on their face that they were deeply concerned by the fact. Ty had this, he'd keep overwatch and step in if need be but he could see his XO checking in on Lou who seemed to have gone pale, even Chris chiming in to reassure the young corporal.
He nodded as Chris and Ty had said they were good, noting it down mentally to ensure that he checked in every so often as a 'wellness' check as the mission progressed.
The Wraith, Kenny, asked what they could do best to assist and whilst they were not the popular party, Mike knew their expertise in guiding them around Wraith tribes and colonies would come in use if they were to locate and track down Rhaise or have a fighting chance of knowing what they were getting themselves in for. So he raised his hand,
"Captain O'Niel, if I might chime in?" Mike waited a beat before pressing on.
"Whilst we have Kenny and Sin on board, they pose much greater use with their extensive knowledge of how the Wraith operate and or give us some background information of what we might expect from Rhiase and if we were to encounter other Wraiths. Unless there is something in which either of you can offer which suit your skill sets." He turned to address them more properly, politely as he could manage without being swayed by how they looked.
