Title: Crossovers
Post by: Troy on July 16, 2019, 10:13:47 AM
What other TV shows do you think would have worked well in a crossover with Stargate?

2003 Battlestar Galactica and Firefly for sure, especially if the crossover is with the early seasons of SG-1.

The technology's just there.

BSG would be my first pick, it would be very easy to meld the two stories together. For example a 'what if' when in BSG they were finally heading to Earth and found our Stargate Earth timeline.

After that, I would skip the conventional sci-fi shows and go for others a little more mundane. Alias (obviously) that would be so easy. Then maybe older shows like NCIS and JAG.

The X-Files. Turns out there totally is a government conspiracy.

And this is a little bit of a tangent, but I’ve always thought BSG 2003 and Firefly would be perfect to crossover each other. The Colonial Fleet finally finds Earth, but discovers it’s been “used up” and abandoned. Records show where they went...

That's the one I was trying to think of earlier! Thanks for the reminder @Mooseman

...... THAT would be sooo cool. A stargate XFiles crossover roleplay. SOMEBODY SHOULD START IT UP!!! Well, maybe not yet, but sometimes in the distance future. I'll play a guy who's mentor was Fox Mulder. Love that guy. Someone's gotta have a guy crush, right? Yeah. Just don't tell everybody. Shh...  >(  :Poke

And ooohh, I might at some distance future watch a few Xfiles show just for the nostalgia, especially the beginning.

So.... X-Files and Stargate crossover. Make that happen. In the not so distant future. Please?  :D

The Truth is Out There... *cue the X-Files theme song, and finish it with Stargate SG1 intro song.*

I'm weird.  I'd crossover with Marvel or Star Trek (preferably DS9)

In fact, I've always imagined a crossover between Stargate and X-files

NCIS is Navy, but it could be interesting to see them somehow interact with SGC members. X-Files would be a cool crossover as would Warehouse 13 and maybe Eureka.

Well, we already have sort of a crossover between SGA and Blindspot since Bill and McKay apparently works in the same universe

I love that... it makes complete sense since Bill showed up on SGA for that one episode.
Was she about to say Professor Rodney McKay?

Over on my site we're working on a cross between SG 1 and BSG- picking up at the point in Day Break when Galactica appears in the system.

I don't think it's been said in play where it picks up with SG-1 but I'm thinking it's instead of the Ori story line. We're toying with it.

The idea of crossing with NCIS makes me think of that one scene where Gibbs steps from the interrogation room. There's a guy inside dressed like a Klingon. Someone said something to Gibbs and I think he said something like "have you ever tried to read a Klingon?"

I think this would be a great idea. Tony would be thrilled, McGee would totally geek out. Of course Abby should be there.

The other would be Criminal Minds - the BAU - with Morgan. The team isn't the same without him.

Would it be too much to have both teams working the same case from their respective angles?

Originally as a host of Queen Satis, I had also thought about the attrice that plays Dana Scully, then after several attempts, I gave up looking for some character more like a sadistic and ravenous queen

I thought of The Orville, SGA could come up against The Kaylon or the Krill, there is no connection between them but both series, you could include SG1 as well, have the element of  humour in there.
