Asteroid Belt somewhere in the Pegasus Galaxy

So far so good, they had managed to elude their pursuers and made it to the safe haven; a vast asteroid field surrounding a rather dead planet. Or so it would seem to be. Their ship, still even yet to be named followed her cruiser escorts through, as easily and as agilely as the smaller ships did, weaving through the cluster as the guidance system took them in and around the huge asteroids, some even as big as the Hive itself. Once settled into a pattern, Reece could relax and so she turned to her crew. "We may need to leave this sector and seek cover for a while. Let the Vanir search all they like, if they find us again, it will be purely happenstance."

She had to at some point reach out to Guide, he was far from here and for the moment Reece stood fixed to the controls of the ship, feeling its every pulse and movement. "Some of the crew will need to feed soon, as I expect you to as well Pulse." She said at last, thinking of where they might go next. "There are so few worlds now not being watched, but we must take the chance." She was thinking of her last encounter with a mysterious race who had intervened and it wasn't a cheerful memory either.

"Take us out of hyperspace and back to the outpost," Njord ordered when he noticed the Wraith fleet suddenly exit. "They are not regrouping, they are fleeing. The vessel will be ready by now."

The fleet quickly dropped out and then jumped back into hyperspace toward the outpost planet. The excavation site had been cleared for months, but the efforts to make the vessel space-worthy took considerably longer than any of them had anticipated. She would need to be given a full month in dry-dock, but their main dock prepared for this moment the instant they unearthed the treasure. The Wraith may run for now, but if Njord had anything to say about it, they would soon find themselves run into a corner.

He allowed himself a rare smile and relaxed in his armored suit.

Usually, Wraith found their females very attractive. Even Pulse had felt quite dizzy when he had been exposed to his queen's pheromones for a longer time. Though this time it was different. He should have been crazy already by now, being in a room with two females all the time, but he wasn't. He really felt no appeal to those females, and they didn't obviously either.
The chain of command here was completely different than he was used to. He'd never been asked so directly to feed, but he kept silent and only nodded curtly. While he didn't feel that hungry yet, he shortly glanced at his right hand. He never even thought about feeding before his skin was set aflame, he had considered that as luxury.

Irisa kept her silence. She should as she is a warrior of darkness. Usually the shadows was where the female could hide in but out there on the side of the bridge, she felt a little vulnerable. For the moment they were safe from the Vanir, but perhaps not for long. The warrior was inching for a fight soon and she wasn't hungry yet either. She still wouldn't dare feed on a human. Keeping her head down, Irisa kept her focus on the console before her waiting for Reese's command.

With a haughty glare and her mouthed turned into snarl, with the accompanying growl, Reece glowered at her two crew members. Her hand almost went to the hilt of the blade strapped to her back, but she refrained, any crew, no matter how she viewed them, was better than none at all at this point. "If I wanted mutes to stand in positions of responsibility I would have my drones here in your staid. When I speak to either of you I expect to be answered, not met with silence!" The voice was raised and angry, the two pointed canines now quite visible, the half breed at her most dangerous. She spun around, facing away from them. "Set a course for Olmec."

Irisa kept her head down. She realized she made Reese mad. It will not happen again. Obeying her commands, she pushed a few buttons and set the Wraith ship into warp. Closing her eyes, Irisa let her mind wander into the psychic network pushing herself through the masses of other Wraiths's minds. Suddenly her ice blue eyes flashed opened as she looked up into the screen. Cocking her head, she wondered what Olmec was like. Maybe it was a beautiful planet like the one her human father lived on?

Pulse had never heard of this planet before. He just wanted to set the course, but the other Wrait female beat him to it.
He actually wondered why Olmec of all planets. There were so many others but Reese seemed to have a bigger reason to go there. However, Pulse remained silent and shielded himself from the network. While he kept a straight face, he smiled grimly to himself, wonderind why in Atlantis the other female obeyed this one so well-behaved. Her genes seemed to be yet more pure than the ones of the other female, even despite her eyes.
With his head lowered as always, the cleverman glanced at Reese. "I'd take my chance then and go feed now", he announced, yet waiting for her permission. He really hated getting orders from a hybrid, but at the moment he had no other choice.

"You can feed to your heart's delight once we arrive, Olmec is a rich world we seldom use and I doubt any other hive has called there for some time." Reece corrected the cleverman.

Pulse did actually hope to get one of the humans on the ship, as he was used to. But feeding during a culling wasn't quite what he expected, but he didn't resist either since he knew it would have made no sense.
"As you wish" he just responded with his head lowered. This hive was so different from anything he was used to, he actually wished himself back on his former one. Though it had been much harder for him there, he'd known his tasks and had been used to them. Nearly everything this female demanded of him was new to him though, which made him feel uncertain in many ways.
