Rodney nodded and gripped his laptop  closer to him  balanced on his lower left  arm, making sure he could grab his gun  as it was hanging  below his right arm ready for action, he would throw the laptop if neccessary.
"Hope there are no more suprises, be a hell of a giveaway if we trod on an IED   He added a slight grin  and looked back to his laptop scrutinising it.
"Ok, they are moving towards us, I dont think they have seen us, its just a coincidence, i  hope

Bonewhite could still feel the reassuring presence of Rhiase and kept their connection at the lowest possible intensity. She was there, she needed his help. It was infuriating, being this helpless. Then his eyes widened in shock as he received the well-known presence of his commander, his centuries-long friend. Guide was in trouble, he'd known from the beginning, of course, but there was an urgency in his message Bonewhite hadn't expected. He wanted to send his thoughts back. He wanted to scream mind-to-mind, "help is on the way". But he kept it to himself, not wanting to give anything away to the hybrids.

He looked out for Captain O'Niel who seemed in conversation with one of the warriors. "Captain, I need to interrupt you, unfortunately. I just received a telepathic message from Guide; he and Rhiase need help immediately. Judging by the stress level in his message, they are most likely fighting inside the enemies' base." He did not share his thoughts that Guide must be in a very grim situation indeed if he called for help. "If this is the case, they are keeping the enemy distracted from the inside. If we can only get past those explosive devices..." He left the sentence hanging, clenching his hands in a way that suggested he was ready to fight.

He glanced over to Sin, who also ready to fight. He could sense the cleverman's aversion to the human way of doing things, and he could relate to that. They were so different. But yet, they also had much in common. Wraith did not hesitate either to destroy any opponent, especially human opponents, without asking questions. Hoff, Sateda and many other worlds in the galaxy could testify to this. How strange, Bonwhite thought. Idle musings the brain comes up with while the body is waiting for the fight.

After aiding Louise, Sin suddenly stood at attention, He could hear the strong telepathic scream from Guide and, faintly, Rhisase.  He glanced at his superior and knew a fight was soon to be ha and he would be in the middle of it. 

He could trust these human in exploration--as long as he followed orders instead of his own skills--but in the heat and chaos of battle?  He already was lacking in fighting prowess when compared to other wraith; it was his meticulous and vast knowledge of maps that his hive found him essential.

If only the two would give him a mental map of the place, he could truly have a chance to help.

The experienced killer and his team of warriors were now ordered to the right flank, and no longer separated, their mission to get extra weapons gave JP the opportunity to get two of his own favorites… his new folding long gun 50 caliber sniper rifle and the sawed-off shotgun. And Maria and her team also took their shotguns…. Of which they knew when it come to close quarters were better with the shotguns, and the stopping power, no “bug” has defeated them yet. And all JP needed was an opportunity to gain elevation for the long shots!

But the headsets were not allowed now, and it was back to old school… hand signals… and JPs warriors seemed to know his mind so gestures were short and sweet, and voice could not be heard correctly in a “gunfight”.

My team will be in the centre

Jordan was going center… well she’d better be back of center then… or at least he would be as close to center from the right flank… Softly he murmured… “Up the center, of course she would…” and he smirked as he looked to her and nodded.

At her command, they would maneuver around obstacles, while watching for IEDs and other BS that could cause hinderance. So, as they poised, standard Marine issue weapons, the preferred arms strapped to their backs, JP, refocused his attention to his team and when they gave the “nod”, he smirked, and mouthed “Oorah…”

Landing Area

Returning from the ship with the new weapons along with Rook and the Marines, Jon was satisfied. Looking over his new weapon, he approved. They looked pretty awesome. However, quantity being more important than quality, the captain had to refocus himself on the battle in front of them. The one's about the start soon, but not yet. Exhaling, he crouched on the ground.

“Agathon, as soon as we get the all clear, lead us up the trail to the next way point. Sharp eyes, I don’t think this IED will be the last.”

His radio crackled with Jordan's voice. Clicking it once, he confirmed. "Yes Ma'am. Eyes open."

Keeping his hand on his rifle, he focused his eye on the scope as he scanned the perimeter. Soon as the IED thing is straightened out, Jon will be the first to move forward. Carefully.

Ty hated every minute of this.  Not only did he want Lou somewhere safer, he also knew if any of them moved wrong they could all be blown to smithereens which would be much better then the alternative.  Nope not going there.  Ty shook his head slightly, trying not to let everything else going on get to him.

"There's a second?" He asked then sighed.  "Of course there is.  Headed there now."  Yep nothing was ever easy.  Ty carefully stepped over to bush Lou had pointed out, kneeling down.  "Ready?" He asked as he carefully reached in with the tip of his knife, waiting to hear the click as he pressed down and praying hard.

McKay looked down at his laptop as he carefully tried to watch the ground around him, he didnt feel like being blown to kingdom come, he moved nearer to Jordan  and  whispered to her:

"The radio traffic is calming down, I dont like the sound of that, or not the sound, if you get my...... ermmm... he grinned awkwardly as he realised he may draw her wrath from any rant he may go on ......

" i ummm just hope they havent spotted us, they havent made a move this way ... yet"

"Anyone  got a power bar, I didnt grab anything earlier?" 
He said as his stomach grumbled and he  looked around hopefully.
McKay decided to put his laptop away and concentrate on his gun, when he got no reply, only several looks that he didnt want to challenge.
This fight was not going to be pretty, and he was willing to go down fighting than be fed on.

There was a nod of agreement from Mike as the thought to follow-through and continue forward with their path was the sane option, or at least more productive than rallying back around the ship waiting for someone to get themselves killed. It was either they tip toed through the mine field or wait until someone tripped over another IED as O'Neil came up with the three-pronged approach when Agathon, Rook and his marines had returned with additional firepower. However as the plan did take shape, so did the urgency to react as one of the Wraiths called out 'Captain', prompting Mike to look over at the Wraith to see which one of them he was directly speaking to.

Mike then glanced at his team, counting their positions and taking note where they would have the best chance of proceeding forwards whilst maintaining line of sight with the other two contingents from their team. He wasn't particularly fond of having to split up in relatively unknown environments however it made sense, if they were lumped together meant that they most likely would be a larger target to ambush so he did not speak up against the plan.

"AR-5," Mike whispered low as he checked he had his team's attention. "Once the IED has been disabled, everyone form up on me. We'll proceed when everyone else has hit position. Then-" He signalled their next plan of motion was to venture forwards slowly. They still did not know fully the risks, traps and hazards that could plague all of them if they wrong-footed. "How long until it's disabled?"
